The two-level Arts Street provides space for informal exchange, collaboration, discussion, exhibitions and receptions before and after events.
The Upper Level 2D Studios feature expansive windows looking onto Main Street, with additional views over a new campus quad providing northern light for the studios.
The Lower Level Ceramics and 3D studios open onto an exterior Arts Terrace and the new campus quad.
The Theater is designed to fit the entire student body with 387 seats for performance, teaching and community gatherings. Its stage connects to a scene shop and a 1,200 square foot Black Box theater that provides a flexible teaching space and an additional performance venue.
Sliding barn doors increase visibility and connection in the Arts Street, allowing overflow standing room for large events.
The Digital Media Lab is a collaborative space for graphic arts, digital imagery, and MIDI audio equipment. A connection to the adjacent Ensemble Room allows it to also function as a recording studio.
Three structures – one for visual arts, one for music, and one for performance – are connected by the shared indoor ‘Arts Street’. Their massing fits the scale of the neighboring buildings in line with the School’s ‘village’ planning guideline.
Renovated Chapel
Renovated Chapel
Reopened in December of 2014, the Chapel now seats 444. Flex space was created in the lower level that adds an additional 50 seats and can be used to hold classes and meetings.
This new ultra-durable turf field allows for fall and spring teams to play and practice at night and in all weather conditions.
The transformation of the center of campus began with the rerouting of traffic from Main Street. This work continued in conjunction with the construction of the new Center for the Arts.
